Roller Boogie
It's Love On Wheels!
Love is born to boogie in this electrifying romantic adventure about a Beverly Hills teen (Linda Blair) who falls head over wheels for a boy from the wrong side of the roller rink! It's the ultimate fast-paced, freewheeling '70s roller romp!

A film can be objectively called a ridiculous collection of well-worn cliches, doesn't necessarily mean it should automatically be dismissed. As every generation enjoys its own special ways to celebrate the joy of living through the expression of music and dance, there will always be filmmakers ready to jump on the current fad and hopefully ride it along to box office success.
Joining XANADU and the lost-"classic" SKATETOWN USA as the contemporary documentations of the short-lived popularity of roller disco, ROLLER BOOGIE is no different in terms of narrative and characterization than BREAKIN' 2: ELECTRIC BOOGELOO, LAMBADA: THE FORBIDDEN DANCE or STEP UP, which means like all of these films its success lives and dies in the charisma of the performers and the skill of the filmmakers.
Truthfully by that standard most viewers would deem ROLLER BOOGIE a failure, but for an aberrant viewer such as myself, whose appreciation of the post-EXORCIST filmography of its star, Linda Blair, borders on the wrong side of creepy, its a fun and colourful mix of unconvincing romance, ridiculous melodrama and reels and reels of soon-to-be-embarrassed folks grooving to the beat with wheels on their feet.
Should you then rent the movie based on this admittedly skewed recommendation? Sure, why not! Are you honestly going to tell me you have better things to do?
