Pirates of Silicon Valley
This entertaining look at the story of the from-the-get-go rivalry of Apple founder Steve Jobs (Noah Wyle) and Microsoft pioneer Bill Gates (Anthony Michael Hall) provides equal parts laughs and insight, set to an energized soundtrack. Told from the points of view of Jobs's and Gates's collaborators--Steve Woziak and Paul Ballmer, respectively--the film intelligently charts each camp's bumpy ride from garage experimentation to industry domination.

I think anybody who is a nerd or somewhat interested in computers will enjoy this history lesson. I tried to do some fact checking on some of the events, but came up empty handed, so I can't say how much of the story is dramatized. It generally paints Steve Jobs as a bit of a jerk and Bill Gates as an opportunist, which from what I can tell is reasonably true to life. The lead actors were very good,a joy to watch - Jefferson
The story of the personal computer,
from the friendship between Jobs and Woz, to Job's departure from Apple computer. The movie is true to the events of the early eighties and and the acting is top notch. A fun movie for any Apple fan. I've seen the movie 4 or 5 times and i still enjoy every moment of it.The Title tells it all - Stu-
Even if you are not an übergeek, you should find the movie interesting. It is based on real life events. Some of which I have seen in other sources. Wyle and Hall are excellent in their roles. I forgot that I was watching two actors and thought I was watching Jobs and Gates.
It is also interesting to see the views portrayed by the early leaders of technology IBM and Xerox.
I would recommend this movie to anyone.
