Silver Streak
The most hilarious suspense ride of your life!
In this wild comedy adventure, rail passenger George Caldwell (Gene Wilder) finds that a romantic escapade with a sultry secretary (Jill Clayburgh) puts him in the middle of a Hitchcockian murder plot. Leaping on and of the train, in and out of roomettes, bars and dining cars, George teams up with an amiable, small-time crook (Richard Pryor) to defy the murderer's henchmen, FBI agents and a host of other outrageous characters.

A great, relaxed, classic comedy - Howie
A very enjoyable movie - not an overwhelming barrel of laughs but constantly amusing with a few real comedic moments (check out Gene Wilder becoming a jive negro with Richard Pryor's help). Pryor holds back a bit which just makes him funnier. Moments reminiscent of "North by Northwest" as Wilder and Jill Clayburgh get together on the train.. steamy for 1976. To be seen more than once.Good, but not Great - ShawnConnery
Honestly, I cannot see what's so hilarious about this movie. It had its moments, I laughed a few times, but it wasn't consistent. Second of all, its rated PG, but it shouldn't be. All that language and innuendos should make it a PG-13. Pryor wasn't really THAT funny, and neither was Wilder. I have to admit that it was entertaining however, and it did keep you watching to the end.I can't help it! - leonbuck
I saw this when it came out years ago, and I still love it as much as I did then.
I must admit, the action gets better once Richard Pryor shows up, but the best part to me about this comedy is there is an actual story line which should also satisfy the 'action movie' crowd. One of them being my husband who's not a fan of comedy.
Gene Wilder has the greatest facial expressions, and Richard Pryor is just plain hilarious.
