Allow me to start by saying, I mean no disrespect to the little people community. But really! WTF!!! Did somebody lose a bet? I love films, I'll watch a bad movie that takes itself too seriously for the comedy factor but this one stands alone. This is one production meeting I would have love to have witnessed. Daniel Tosh was right about how bad this film is. The rate at which the film industry pumps out such, excuse my bluntness, CRAP!! Leads me to think much of the film industry is little more than a money laundering system for investors of questionable business integrity. And let me finish by saying 10/10 for Gary Oldman's costume it really, really, really helped him sell the role. Watch Tiptoes so the next average film you see will seem a lot better.

I get that there is a "good moral message" behind this movie, but other than Matthew taking off his clothes, not worth the plastic it is burned onto!

Although it has a great cast list, which is why I rented it, it seriously disappointed. The acting is ok, the story is silly, the moral is one everyone should know.

To sum up: dreadful.

Seriously put it at the bottom of the list or not at all. Very disappointing.

I didn't particularly love this movie, but it is definitely an original movie. Not only does it show "little people" attempting to live normal lives in spite of all the difficulties (intense pain, rejection, etc) but also, it shows how a father must learn to decide between his own self-interest and his son who is affected with dwarfism. Additionally, good for Matthew Bright for not making this a normal corny movie where everything fits together and the story ends with "happily ever after". Very eye-opening and insightful. My only complaint is some of the subject matter becomes dull after a while, and some parts of the movie begin to drag. There are many scenes that should have been cut on the cutting floor, but didn't. Overall though, this was very much like Station Agent, and like it, isn't marketed toward the normal moviegoer. If you enjoy movies where everyone doesn't live happily ever after, and there are questions even after the credits roll, see this flick.
