Sometimes They Come Back
With "Pet Sematary" and "Misery" Stephen King scared you to death. Now he's going to scare you back to life.
From Stephen King, the modern master of terror, comes an all new excursion into a place where horror comes alive. For Jim Norman (Tim Matheson), returning to his old hometown to teach high school after a twenty-year absence may be the ultimate nightmare. Haunted by recurring dreams that terrify him and concern his wife (Brooke Adams), he must face the demons of his past.
On a night long ago, a fiery car crash claimed the lives of his brother and a gang of hoods. Now one by one, the hoods are coming back for revenge.
The students closest to Jim begin dying suspiciously and the ghostly gang members start coming back - to his classroom. The local police suspect Jim's involved, but don't believe the bizarre truth. The ghostly gang attacks Jim's house, assaults his wife and chase his young son in a fiery roadster.
Only a confrontation in the evil tunnel where his brother died can set them free and end the horror.

It's a shame how most of Stephen King's horror books don't seem to make good movies.
I do say "most" and not "all". You might have to go through 10 before you find one that is well adapted as a movie, but when you do it's usually one of the best horror movies you've seen.
Unfortunately it's not the case here. Nothing was scary about this movie, it wasn't even able to suck me into the story.
The movie was very cheezy with it's triumph of good over evil.
And why does King have an obsession with little boys? There always seems to be one that dies in everyone of his books (or is at least in danger of dying).
