Out Of The Wilderness
A Little Girl. A Big Bird. A Lot Of Trouble.
Saving a wild baby raven in the Alaskan wilderness almost costs young Melissa her life and her father's sanity when Black Feather's silly antics and passion for gathering shiny objects are enough to drive the whole town crazy. While Melissa slowly recovers in the hospital, Black Feather is captured and sent in the city, where the bird is declared a Public Nuisance. Both bird and family are put on trial and now an animal rights legal activist (David Carradine) must fight to defend a little girl's amazing love for an extraordinary pet. Get ready to discover a rare family treasure; a heart-warming, fun-filled adventure set in some of the most spectacular scenery in Alaska.

A lighthearted movie with a heart warming message. The family is not perfect and the raven is troublesome but there is a lot of love all around. The antics of the bird are amusing even though they are dangerous and destructive. As with most family movies there is little real human harm caused by the bird while there is much property damage. But of course love wins out. At the same time it reminds us that the animals are loving intelligent creatures and should not be discounted. Animals and people do both good and bad things and there intentions should be considered before we condemn them.
