Indecent Proposal
One Million Dollars. One Night. No Questions Asked.
Demi Moore and Woody Harrelson are Diana and David Murphy, a financially strapped couple who are betting on a quick trip to Las Vegas to deal them a lucky hand. But the odds are suddenly even more attractive when billionaire John Gage (Robert Redford) ups the ante - complete financial freedom.
The price? One night of passion with Diana. The Payoff? A cool $1 million. But what seems to be a quick and simple solution to their money problems creates more friction that the couple bargained for as the high stakes of trust, love and attraction come into play as part of Gage's compelling proposal.
From acclaimed director Adrian Lyne (Fatal Attraction, Flashdance) comes a film that examines a riveting morality game-one in which each player has a strategy, as well as a set of rules to play by.

Excruciatingly dull. A five minute idea padded out into a feature film through pointless shots and meandering scenes.
A real shame because I usually like Redford and Harrelson's work.
Visually I think it's quite beautiful. Lighting, cinematography. That's the only positive I can come up with.Fabulous Premise - Weak Finish - c4th
What a fabulous premise. A stranger offers you one million dollars for one night with your wife. Do you accept? Does she accept? How is each of you with the other’s response? Unfortunately Indecent Proposal never measures up to the premise upon which it is built.
The biggest problem is Redford’s wooden performance. He fails to give his character any redeeming qualities. The dry and expressionless John Gage has no charismatic appeal, no flair, no magnetic personality. Without that the movie is unable to sustain itself for the full two hours. There is a point at which Diana says '' ... it was over''. I wish she had been referring to the movie. From that point forward it was slow, out of character, and unappealing.
I can’t finish without pointing out that the movie has one of the sexiest scenes ever to appear in a movie. The early scene between Demi Moore and Woody Harrelson is wonderfully directed and tastefully presented but oh so hot! If Redford had only carried the same heat into the remainder of the movie, the second half may have been believable and palatable.
OK let’s total this up - four stars for the premise, three for the first half, minus two for the second half plus bonus points for the hot stuff – let’s just say three stars overall. I liked it didn’t love it. Now excuse me while I replay the hot scene.Love Or Money - Nikkilube
They say that if you love someone set them free and if they come back then it was meant to be. Does this still apply when 1 million dollars is the deciding factor between love or money?
Diana and David Murphy are down on their luck and decide to go to Las Vegas to see if they can win some money.
John Gage meets up with Diana Murphy and makes her an offer. One million dollars for one night.
Facing a moral dilemma Diana makes the decision on her own. Is it love or money?
