Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me
In a town like Twin Peaks, no one is innocent.
In this compelling film prequel to the phenomenal TV series, director David Lynch (Mulholland Drive, Blue Velvet) takes us to the town of damn good coffee and cherry pie.
Two federal agents (Kyle MacLachlan, TV's "Sex and the City" and Chris Isaak, TV's "The Chris Isaak Show") arrive in twin Peaks and unravel the bizarre clues, mysterious disappearances and strange happenings that lead to the death of local girl Laura Palmer (Sheryl Lee, John Carpenter's Vampires).
Co-starring Kiefer Sutherland (TV's "24") and David Bowie, Twin Peaks Fire Walk With Me plunges deep beneath the façade of a town where nothing is as it seems.

This is the Movie, Not the TV Series - A1Critic
Just to clear up any possible confusion. This is the Motion Picture, not the television series. The Movie came out after the television series was cancelled. The motion picture had a much bigger budget than the TV series and it is noticable. Not to put down the televison series at all, it is one of my all time favorite series and was way ahead of it's time. I see a lot of influence of Twin Peaks in my all time favoite television series 'Lost'. 'Lost' has the same feel as 'Twin Peaks' did just with not as many red herrings. 'Lost' seems to explain more of it's weird mysteries than 'Twin Peaks' ever did. But this is a review about 'Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me' so to get back on track.
CONTAINS SPOILERS!
One of the most brilliant, saddest, most disturbing, and most beautiful movies ever made. This is the story of Laura Palmer and how her life spun out of control before her death. Sherryl Lee should have gotten an Oscar for her performance. She captures the erratic mood changes of the abused and drug-addicted Laura perfectly.
The first part of the movie describes the investigation of the murder of Teresa Banks. Part of the investigation involves a ring which, worn by the next victim, signifies the next person who is to die. There is a scene where one of the FBI agents (David Bowie) has somehow been captured or kept by the people from another place (the demons), and he (the agent) returns to the FBI headquarters. Then the movie cuts to Twin Peaks and the last few days of Laura Palmer's life. Essentially, this prequel explains the events directly relating to Laura Palmer's death in the Twin Peaks television series. She is being abused by her father, Leland/Mad Bob. In order to cope with her life, she has become addicted to cocaine. In order to pay for the cocaine, she becomes a prostitute and to secure the drug she feigns a love relationship with Bobby who is part of a chain of drug dealing in Twin Peaks. Sorry, ran out of space!!Very Strange - maw-
I am normally all about off beat and weird shows, and I enjoy David Lynch's work for the most part. I just couldn't get into this show. I really tried! It was just too confusing, and a little slow. I agree that the pilot should have been included. The movie "Fire Walk With Me" was just as strange.
