Tarzan
"Tarzan Is Smart, Pure And Funny...A Triumph!" - Time
Wild with exotic adventure and laughs, Disney's Tarzan is a magnificent adaptation of Edgar Rice Burroughs' classic story of the ape man!
Raised by a family of gorillas, including the loving Kala and the wisecracking Terk, Tarzan develops all the instincts and prowess of a jungle animal. But with the sudden appearance of Tarzan's own kind, including the beautiful Jane, two very different worlds are about to become one.
Driven by five powerful songs from pop superstar Phil Collins, and starring the voice talents of Minnie Driver, Glenn Close and Rosie O'Donnell, Disney's Tarzan delivers incredible adventure as well as important reminders about acceptance and family!

While Tarzan would have been a great movie if it was made by anyone, it was made by Disney. Not the worst Disney film every but there really isn't much there to make it a A+ film.
The scenes where Tarzan is swinging through the trees look great and the traditional 2D animation is first class, the story and characters seem a weak point for me.
Still enjoyable and little kids will probably enjoy it also.A worthwhle version of the Tarzan story. - estefan
Disney's loose adaptation of Edgar Rice Burrough's Tarzan of the Apes is highlighted by some stunning animation and a well-devloped relationship between Tarzan and Jane. Minnie Driver's voice-work as the latter also adds to both the hilarity and warmth of the character. The story moves at a good pace as we see Tarzan grow through the years and his relationship with his mother is also touching. His journey to self-discovery is also more well-developed than other animated films that tackle the same theme. Clayton also proves to be a charismatic and ruthless villain, leading to probably one of the most intense deaths in any Disney animated film. The action scenes are also well put-together, particularly when Tarzan is surfing through the trees.
However, there are some easily fixed issues that I have with the film. Usually, the comic relief adds to the film, but Terk and Tantor are kind of flat and lack the strong humour and importance on the plot that Timon and Pumbaa or Lumiere and Cogsworth. The one musical number in the film (while having a catchy tune) feels unnecessary and does nothing to advance the plot. Frankly, I could have done without any of the Phil Collins songs. Some more development regarding the Kerchak character would have been good, too, most notably in why he dislikes humans so much. The final fight scene is also a retread of the final battle scene in Beauty and the Beast, even to the point of recycling lines, so it all feels like a sense of un-originality. I also would have liked to have seen a mention of Clayton being Tarzan's cousin, but I can't qualm too much of Disney leaving out details of the original book.
Overall, despite its flaws, Tarzan offers a very good experience that shows the edge that Disney had in the 1990's.A Really Good Movie - bUgs1
What makes this movie great is the style Disney added on this. First, is a Disney movie, so you know you're going to have a good movie after all. Then the animation is superb, very colorful and the visual effects are astounding; from the way Tarzan moves to the images of the sea!, till today I haven't see anything like this(in an animated movie). Then the songs, they really fit the plot and aren't childish ones; besides they aren't sung by the characters at all, but as a background music that sets the moods and keep the story going...
