Anne of Green Gables
Director Kevin Sullivan brings L.M. Montgomery's classic children's novel to life. Megan Follows stars as Anne Shirley, the talkative, red-headed orphan sent by mistake to live with a spinster (Colleen Dewhurst) and her brother (Richard Farnsworth) on scenic Prince Edward Island. But her warm-hearted enthusiasm and irrepressible imagination gradually win them over. Jonathan Crombie co-stars as Gilbert Blythe

Just like the novels my Lucy Maud Montgomery, this movie was properly done and followed the book fairly closely. As a child, I loved watching this movie with my mom. Megan Follows did an excellent job portraying Anne with an "e". Some of my favourite moments were when Gilbert called Anne "carrots" and Anne's dress with "puff sleeves".Childhood Nostalgia - Elliptical
I watched this movie for the first time in England of all places! Instead of enjoying the beautiful English countryside while on family vacation, I was inside, curled up on the couch absolutely magnetized to my favourite heroine.
The scenery is breathtaking. The filming is fabulous. Megan Follows will always be "Anne" for me. And Johnathan Crombie will always be "Gilbert".
A Canadian marvel. This film is well worth seeing for any "Anne" fan.Ms Montgomery would be proud - Radio_Jane
As a little girl, I was wrapped up in the Green Gables books. I could see everything beautifully in my mind. These shows were even better than what I had imagined. They are beautiful to look at, and the stories are true to the book more often tha not. Colleen Dewhurst was a wonderful Marilla, and no one could have been a better Anne than Megan Follows. full of good clean fun, with some very powerful messages, this is a perfect choice for the entire family
