The Perfect Son
Two brothers torn apart by their secrets.
Secrets exert powerful forces in every family. When two brothers finally come clean, which one is the perfect son?
Two brothers' lives seem headed in different directions. Theo (David Cubitt, Ali, The American Embassy) has spent his life in and out of drug rehab centers, while Ryan (Colm Feore, The Sum of All Fears, Titus, Lola) has enjoyed success as a conservative lawyer. Neither particularly likes the other.
Reunited at their father's funeral, Ryan surprises Theo by revealing that he is gay. As Theo is drawn into Ryan's private world, the two brothers develop a complex, loving bond neither ever thought possible.
This moving story by first time director Leonard Farlinger was recognized at Canada's prestigious Genie Awards in 2001, where both Cubitt and Feore received nominations for Best Actor.

NOT BAD AT ALL... - Ricardo
This movie was a very pleasant surprise. I rented it without too many expectations, but it turned out to be way better than I thought it would be. The acting is first rate, the dialogue is good, the script is not new but it was definitely well written, and the depth of the messages sent by the movies was better than most movies with a much bigger budget. Overall, a slow-paced movie, with a sad theme, but somehow with a happy message. It's never too late...
