Where does the dream end and reality begin?

Jessie (Parillaud), leads a dual life, trapped in a dangerous maze of dream and reality. In one life, she is a cold-blooded assassin preying on a prominent businessman (Baldwin) who is smitten by her charms. In her other life, she is a wealthy newlywed, honeymooning with her new husband, also played by Baldwin. A combination of a violent past experience and the possible unfaithfulness of her new spouse add to the complexity of her delusions. Is she the ruthless hit woman, or the vulnerable new bride?
