Giant Waste of Time - katnick
I don't even know where to start with this one. The pretense under which they get the traumatized boy back to the lizard-riddled island is laughable, as is the dialogue, plot, creature effects, and most of the acting. Having said that, though, you should probably Zip it anyway because it's so bad it's hilarious.different but not - Chtis
After seing movies with giant pirhanas, giant dogs, giant spiders and even giant tomatoes, here's a new one... giant Komodo dragons!!! Yes, it has all the clichés. Yes, the cute girl lives in the end. Yes the tough guy shows his soft side in the end. Yes, those giant killers are their because of a major company...etc. But besides all that, i still thought it was an ok movie. Nothig's new, but the way it was filmed and the acting itself were pretty damn good. Aside for the cheesy ending, i thought it was really well made. 3 out of 5Pure Lameness - Jirataur
Two four-star reviews for this shocking display of mediocrity? Are you kidding me? KOMODO has excellant special effects, I swear it more often than not looked as though live Komodo Dragons were let loose on set, but nearly everything else is awful!
The film's main problem is that its loaded with crappy dialogue and scenes where the dragons stand around doing nothing until the director tells them to, running around, slobbering and roaring. A couple of the actors are actually pretty good, but the script is so weak it doesn't really matter how good their acting skills are.
KOMODO can be most easily be summed up as "Great Effects, Bad Everything Else".
