Bob Roberts

A pseudo-documentary satire look at the fictional 1990 Pennsylvania senatorial race of Bob Roberts, an arch-conservative folk singer/entrepreneur-turned-politician and his campaign against Vidal's ageing liberal incumbent. Though Bob Roberts comes across as a likeable boy-next-door, but behind the scenes he is a manipulative snake in the grass, using every political dirty trick to bring about his election to office. Bob is pursued only by one independent dirt-digging reporter who wishes no more than to expose Bob Roberts for who he really is.
