A race for world power - who will succeed: CIA or KGB?

Hired spies Michael Gold (Brandon Lee) and Alissa (Debi Monahan) are dispatched by the CIA to an African nation ruled by the Soviets to rescue Dr. Braun (Ernest Borgnine), a scientist specializing in weaponry equipment, who has been captured by Russian terrorists. Michael and Alissa must recover Dr. Braun, as well as some stolen diamonds, before the terrorists can use the scientist to create a powerfully dangerous laser that utilizes the diamonds in its functioning. If they fail their mission, it will not only be too late for the good scientist, but for the world as well.
