Brain Damage makes no attempt to have us care about our protagonist. As the film opens, our hero is sick in bed- quick to become the sleepwalking, druggie slave of an adorable brain slug. Wonderful grotesque images are the order of the day here, including a painfully misogynist rape (?) scene. It's a short little splatter flick, and the practical effects are as technically impressive as they are charming, but I was pretty distracted by some gaping plot holes and downright awful acting from our hero's girlfriend.
Oh yeah, one can't help but mention the homo-erotic aspect of the film, which includes an unexplained incestuous threesome and a nude, showering bodybuilder
Anyways, if you're into this kinda thing at all- Brain Damage must be seen to be believed.Brain Damage - SoapBoy
You know this is going to be funny from the first 5 minutes of the movie. Saw this when I was a kid and loved it then. Who can't laugh at a little purplish slug with the most cutest eyes and a most articlate voice. I'd let him eat my brain any day! There a a couple of slow spots so don't watch this if you are really tired.
