Aftershock: Earthquake in New York
Terror is off the Richter scale.
New York, the City That Never Sleeps, is trapped in a nightmare of horror and destruction when a massive earthquake rocks the unsuspecting city. Countless lives are lost, families are torn apart, and chaos runs rampant as the Mayor (Charles S. Dutton) and former Fire Chief (Tom Skerritt) race to enact a city-wide emergency plan. The two men also face personal devastation and uncertainty as their own family members lie buried in the toppled infrastructure. Sharon Lawrence, Lisa Nicole Carson and Cicely Tyson also star in this incredible story of undying courage in the face of unimaginable human tragedy.

An entertaining disaster film - Chucky
After Shock has good special effects and the script flows well. The acting is quite passable also. About the only thing out of place is that New York is not famous for its earthquakes, the plot would have been more believable if this took place in San Francisco. Where is Dirty Harry when you need him?I enjoy this kind of bad made-for-tv movie. - dajhorn
I enjoyed Aftershock, but only because it's an end-of-the-world kind of movie that I always enjoy.
Aftershock will be boring if you don't already enjoy the genre. The special-effects were well done, but most everything else about the movie was ho-hum.
The "carry water and avoid the looters" scene was my favorite because it was the most anti-heroic. Nicholai was sorta-kindov-almost a realistic character. If you like destruction - wyld
I actually enjoyed the movie, and didn't find it slow or boring in the least. A couple of parts were sad enough to make my eyes glass up a bit. It had some great action scenes with chaos all around as the city falls apart, and although there are a lot of characters in the movie I did not have a problem keeping up with each of the story lines.
