Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation
Everyone's favorite chainsaw-wielding psychopath, Leatherface (Robert Jacks), is back for more prom-night gore, and this time he's joined by his bloodthirsty family. Four stranded yet carefree teens are taken in by a backwoods family, clueless of their host family's grisly habits. The terrified youths, including sweet Jenny (Renee Zellweger), try to escape from Leatherface and his crazed clan, including the bionic Vilmer (Matthew McConaughey).

Pretty darn good campy horror - eched
If you like campy horror like Critters and Leprechaun, this is a nice little treat.
Random and creative, there will be something that gets you off guard. The heros are developed a bit better then would be expected in this kind of film and the evil 'family' is more nuts then ever before.
Some scenes go on a bit to long, and Leatherface isn't done very well, but all and all this is one of the better films in the series. Just don't be expecting something dark and scary like the original, it isn't.Surprising cast but really bad movie - Coconut_Willy
Even considering how lame the other 2 sequels were, I thought I'd give this one a try mostly because of the two main actors involved who are very well known today. Ouch! This is really as bad as it gets. Not much of a storyline here and not really any interesting development worth mentioning. As a matter of fact, this movie gets worse as it goes on. There is not even enough gore to make it semi-interesting. The cast is a bit surprising but the acting job delivered is pretty bad with incomprehensible dialogue and way over the top characters. The sets and locations are as rudimentary as it gets, the soundtrack is OK and the camera work is rather average with a lot of annoying hand-held moving shots. Overall, I would recommend skipping this one. If you like the series, you should go straight to the remakes after the first 2 entries from Tobe Hooper. Not sure why I bothered... - samiam1
I couldn't even finish watching the end of this movie, it was so bad. This is one case where I should have looked at the rating giving by Zip and passed on this one. It almost seems like what they were going for here is a mixture of humour and fear, but it really didn't work. Not funny, not scary, not gory, not good.
