A Murder of Crows
Disbarred lawyer Lawson Russell (Cuba Gooding Jr.) buys himself trouble when he passes off another man's true-life crime book as his own. As the tome climbs the best-seller list, Lawson gets arrested for the killings recounted in the book. He then must convince judge and jury that he's innocent, even though he's destroyed all evidence to the contrary.

Another good movie------not perfect by any means, but enjoyable. Gooding is an excellent actor, and he isn't any different in this one. Lawyers are always fun to watch, especially when they do dumb things, and this just proves my point. Watch it, you'll enjoy it too.Enjoy the Twists and Turns - c4th
I first saw Cuba Gooding Jr. in Instinct and was impressed by his performance. I always keep a watch for him in serious roles. This movie did not disappoint.
In a moment of weakness, disbarred lawyer now struggling author, Lawson Russell, takes credit for a book he did not write. The book hits the best sellers list and the movie really starts to roll when he is arrested for the murder of the same people murdered in the book. Russell desperately attempts to prove his innocence by identifying the real killer and unveiling his masterfully crafted frame.
The plot is refreshingly unique but admittedly convoluted and implausible. There are a number of holes and the protagonist is repeatedly fortunate at escaping capture. With all its flaws, it is still well written in an effective style. The writer begins the story near its conclusion and tells most of the story as a flashback. He even manages to place flashbacks within the flashback without complicating the viewing experience. The viewer makes an immediate connection to the main character and remains invested in his endeavours throughout.
If you forgive this movie its flaws, you will enjoy the twists and turns which make up this exciting and suspenseful thriller. It was okay - yanners
Not the best movie but not the worst. I wouldn't see it again but enjoyed it pretty well the first time around.
I liked the plot twists (made it worth seeing) and liked the ending. The acting could have been better (as could have the romantic element).
We weren't disappointed in it and would rate it as average.
