Prototype
Dr. Carl Forrester (Christopher Plummer) heads a government-backed research lab that's developed a gifted robot named Michael (David Morse), a product five years in the making. The lab's scientists, and many government officials, are proud of the craftsmanship and hope to pass Michael off as just another human, someday hoping to turn him into an indestructible soldier. What they don't know is that Michael has developed some plans of his own.

I expected more - Chucky
one looks to terminator and Robocop when they see the box cover and end up with a watered down version of AI. There are much better android movies from the same era "The Questar tapes" comes to mind. The cover box is misleading and the plot revolves around a group of ungrateful whiners that took DOD money to build their android and became resentful and arrogant when the government wanted to take possession. Christopher Plummer must have been in an altered state himself when he took on his roll as the arrogant creator. Don't waste your time on this one unless you want to doze through it like I did
