The Hunger: Vampires
Originally aired on Showtime in the late 1990s, the cult horror series "The Hunger" features host Terence Stamp presenting each terrifying -- and often erotically charged -- tale. (David Bowie, who appeared in the film on which the series is based, took over as host in the latter part of the series' run.) This collection includes the following episodes: "Footsteps," "A Matter of Style," "Necros" and "Fly-by-Night."

Here's a ringing endorsement: I saw this DVD a couple of days ago and couldn't remember a thing about it until just now, when I re-read the synopsis. Even then, my memory remains misty about the actual plots. In fact, all I recall is that goofy Chad Lowe (Mr. Ex Hilary Swank) is a vampire who can't get a date and that there are three other sessions of boredom masquerading as stories. Oh, and host Terrence Stamp natters on about deep stuff and looks very pleased with himself. The Hunger: Vampires - blissful_muse07
Two of my favourite episodes are included in this 4-disc set. A Matter of Style which stars Chad Lowe as an inexperienced vampire who gets more than he bargained for with some training from a real pro. The second one is called Footsteps and is a story of a woman's hunt for the finest food and flesh combined.
