Bambi
The animated story of Bambi, a young deer hailed as the 'Prince of the Forest' at his birth. As Bambi grows, he makes friends with the other animals of the forest, learns the skills needed to survive, and even finds love. One day, however, the hunters come, and Bambi must learn to be as brave as his father if he is to lead the other deer to safety.

Whoever did not like this movie has serious problems and obviously did not grow up watching the (what I call) "real" Disney movies. The new Disney movies definitely lack something that the older ones had. I am not exactly sure what it is but this movie definitely has it. A truely great story that I highly reccommend to everyone.Great Animated Classic - Kristy4819
Bambi is a classic. Although as an adult you no longer watch it with the same enthusiasims a child would it certainly inspires sentimentality. The music is dated, but that doesn't mean it isn't good. The animation and songs for the period are wonderful, and it's nice to watch a Disney film in which the characters don't sing the songs themselves. All in all I would say it's rather short, but still a beautiful timeless classic.

"Bambi" is a true Disney classic. I had not seen this film since the initial trauma it inflicted on me as a small child. All I remembered were the stories my mom told me about crying and crying and crying.
What I found when watching this story was some of the most beautiful animation that Disney ever produced. The story is an incredibly solid coming-of-age tale. The characters are simple but heartfelt. It is a right-of-passage for kids to see this film.
The pace of the simple story isn't as slow as it might seem. It's easy to follow with characters that little kids and adults will really appriciate. I don't see many 8-15 year-olds watching this with much relish but the younger and the older Disney fans will love it. It's not cool and cutting-edge, filled with pop-culture references and inside jokes... it's just a great story.
