Catwoman
Catwoman is the story of shy, sensitive artist Patience Philips a woman who can’t seem to stop apologizing for her own existence. She works as a graphic designer for Hedare Beauty, a mammoth cosmetics company on the verge of releasing a revolutionary anti-aging product. When Patience inadvertently happens upon a dark secret her employer is hiding, she finds herself in the middle of a corporate conspiracy. What happens next changes Patience forever. In a mystical twist of fate, she is transformed into a woman with the strength, speed, agility and ultra-keen senses of a cat. With her newfound prowess and feline intuition, Patience becomes Catwoman, a sleek and stealthy creature balancing on the thin line between good and bad. Like any wildcat, she’s dangerous, elusive and untamed. Her adventures are complicated by a burgeoning relationship with Tom Lone, a cop who has fallen for Patience but cannot shake his fascination with the mysterious Catwoman, who appears to be responsible for a string of crime sprees plaguing the city.

What more can one say about Catwoman which has not already been said. This is one of the worst movies ever made. How it ever saw the light of day is beyond me. Directed by Pitof (um, last name or first?), this movie has got it all - excruciating dialogue, inane plot, embarassingly bad acting, and ridiculous "action" scenes. Surely a project Halle Berry would happily forget she was involved in, Catwoman is just awful. Avoid.Catwoman - AppsScraps
This film is a testament to the dire need of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to have the ability to revoke an Academy Award. Case in point, Halle Berry (who 'stars' as Catwoman) and who once again proves she cannot act. She's just dreadful in this dreadful movie directed by Pitof. Catwoman is one of those stupid, dumb films that is so bad it's actually fun to watch. It's helped by great production value and cartoony CGI. Sharon Stone (as the evil Laurel Hedare) steals every frame she's in and looks fabulous and the supporting cast of Benjamin Bratt (as detective Tom Lone), an over-the-top Lambert Wilson (as the misogynous George Hedare) and Six Feet Under's Frances Conroy (as Ophelia) help temper Berry's disgraceful excuse for acting.
This is certainly no perrrrrrfect Catwoman but gets my rating of a 3 out of 10.Cinematic kitty litter - Baboonvideo
Arriving as it does on the heels of the awe-inspiring Spider-Man 2, there is the temptation to assume that Catwoman only misses the mark because the webcrawler so effortlessly hit it. Sure, and I had catnip for breakfast. Exactly the type of clumsy, overproduced and misbegotten film that gives comic book adaptations a bad name, Catwoman plays like cinematic cat litter. Halle Berry, squandering any goodwill she earned following her Oscar-winning turn in Monster's Ball (not to mention any fan-boy appreciation she has gained from the X-Men films) plays Patience, a graphic artist for a cosmetics company who stumbles upon something she shouldn't have (a plan by her employer to sell toxic face cream) and ends up being killed because of it. Just like Michelle Pfeiffer in Batman Returns, though, some feline friends bring Patience back to life and she is soon slipping into leather and cracking a whip. But while Pfeiffer offered a delectable combination of sexiness and danger, it is impossible to take Berry seriously as she prances around in a bustier and shredded pants. Meanwhile, French filmmaker Pitof seems entirely confused by the franchise, unsure if he is providing satire, action or cheese. Take a whiff Pitof: this is definite fromage.
