Granted, Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers is very different than the other Halloween stories, but I think this was a good pick up. Plus you have to admit that Jamie's death is very effective and scary. The whole cult thing was a bit much, but still I think it was a good scare factor to add into the story. The acting is better I think and the writing was a little more accurate. Plus unlike Halloween 5, Michael actually scared me again, thank God, I was getting a little frightened that he was loosing his touch and his butcher knife. So I do recommend this movie if you're looking to complete the series or if you're just looking for a good scare.Getting a little silly - Poet
With the sixth installment in the Halloween series, the film-makers were getting a little silly with the whole thing. The storyline was too contrived as they didn't seem to know what direction to go in with the whole thing. The whole druid thing was silly too and quite pointless.
It was nice to see a young Paul Rudd at work here, though. It was a nice surprise amidst the dreck that was this movie.I love Mikey but what a mess! - CaptainRhodes
So, we can obviously toss the third part of the series aside for the lack of Michael myers. Now let's move on to number six. The series returned with a big bang with part four. Yes, The return of Michael Myers was as close to the original as we will ever see. Loved it! Than came part five. Had potential but carried away with all this 'thorn' nonsense. In five we had garbage writing, horrible acting, thorn and the mysterious man in black (No, not Johnny Cash but it eventually turned out to be less sinister). Yet in five we had a substantial and meaningful amount of the great Dr.Loomis and the ever expected mayhem of Michael Myers, so I got by. Six? Wow, all was shot to hell. Loomis, five seconds screen time. Man in black was a senile old man. Jamie, nothing but an extra. Michael had a beer belly. Must I go on? Nah. I'll leave it to you. Have fun watching John Carpenter's baby being turned into a laughingstock........
