Blaze
Louisiana governor Earl Long (Paul Newman) is known for his grandiose behavior and his fondness for strip clubs. Unabashed about his habits, Long winds up falling in love with much younger stripper Blaze Starr (Lolita Davidovich) -- which comes as a surprise to no one. As their relationship progresses, Earl's political rivals use the growing romance to attack his character, putting Earl in a difficult position.

This is a great movie, it's the typical love story of two whom shouldn't be but overcome all to be together. Great piece of true story that has been made into a movie.
I would recommend this movie for anyone who likes politics or love stories. This is a wonderful movie one of my favorites.Loved it! - Tasha
Based on a true story in the 1950's, the sly governor of Louisiana falls in love with a young stripper…while this may sound like an unusual couple (especially for the 50’s), as you get to know governor Earl Long (Newman) you begin to realize that stripper Blaze Starr (Davidovich) is exactly what he needs! Their whirlwind romance causes a commotion among the people of Louisiana. Many believe that their relationship is disgraceful, and his opponents use his new relationship to attack some of his political viewpoints, which include civil rights for blacks. Earl is forced to choose between the woman he loves and his position as governor. What makes this movie so good is that he decides he wants both which adds some exciting turns.
