Not very erotic, not very thrilling - OlBaldy
This movie is billed as an erotic thriller, but it is neither of these. There are a couple of things happening in this movie, but you just end up thinking, "man, these people are really really stupid."
Laura is being blackmailed by her boss, and she tries to turn the tables on him - and you can't help but think she's setting a trap for herself.
There are some surprises in the outcome, and I won't spoil it, but be warned that the surprises are not really satisfying in the end.A Go Nowhere Sequel - c4th
The expectation of a sequel is for it to entertain the same viewers that enjoyed the original. That doesn’t happen if the formula is completely changed. Body Chemistry II : Voice of a Stranger falls well short on eroticism, suspense, and uncomfortable surprises when compared to its predecessor, Body Chemistry.
The thrill in the original is fuelled by the artful way in which the true nature of the main character and the extent of her over-the-top obsession is revealed bit by bit. Once her character is fully exposed (no pun intended), there is no place to go with a sequel. The scheming and actions of this psychonymphomaniac can no longer surprise us.
