Short Cuts
The work of two great American artists merge in Short Cuts, maverick director Robert Altmans kaleidoscopic adaptation of the stories of renowned author Raymond Carver. Epic in scale yet meticulously observed, the film interweaves the stories of twenty-two characters struggling to find solace and meaning in contemporary Los Angeles. The extraordinary ensemble cast includes Tim Robbins, Julianne Moore, Robert Downey, Jr., Jack Lemmon, and Jennifer Jason Leighall giving fearless performances in one of Altmans most compassionate creations.

really love this piece. The characters are REAL people with real problems and struggles. Most of them are just average people struggling to survive who face all the problems common to most men and women. Definitely thought provoking and very interesting. Give it a shot! Terrific cast too: lily tomlin, jennifer jason leigh, frances mcdormand, robery downey jr, julianne moore, etc.Short Cuts - JLL1
I just watched Short Cuts again for what must be the 10th time. The movie never ceases to amaze me. I have been a huge fan of Raymond Carver's novels for a long time. This was an ambitious project by Robert Altman. A masterpiece from beginning to end.wow - Frank
Shortcuts is incredible, even if it deviates from Carver's work, which is fine because Carver's stories are unrivaled and couldn't be precisely imitated on film anyways. I applaud Altman for even having recognized the amazingness of Carver and wanting to project his writing's onto the screen.
Shortcuts is by far the best
