Good performances and great details - Rai11
This is a great little film by Sandra Goldbacher (she did The Governess). It is the story of two women who have been friends since childhood. What I liked the most about this film was that it felt authentic, all the period details (of the 1970s and 1980s) were spot on.
Also it has some great performances. The best being from Michelle Williams, who manages to look the right age in all the different time periods (from the '70s to the late 80s). She brings so much life to her character.
It is also really shows how destructive friendships can operate. It is at times a little overdone (you wonder why Holly puts up with Marina) but overall it gets female friendships right.
