The Big Bus
A wonderful spoof of disaster films, The Big Bus is about the world's first nuclear-powered bus -- a 75-ton monster on 32 enormous wheels -- and its maiden journey from New York to Denver. With a co-pilot who's given to sudden blackouts (and tends to drive on the shoulder of the road) and a pair of evildoers intent on destroying the bus, hilarious suspense abounds.

Before "Airplane" ever took off - Mr_Humidty
This is a comedic spoof that preceded, and perhaps paved the way for, the notorious spoofs such as "Airplane" and "Naked Gun." And if you appreciate the humor in those films, there's quite a bit to appreciate here. And watching the film should be valuable as an arcane bit of cinematic history. An undiscovered spoof comedy - ShawnConnery
I discovered this movie on Wikipedia. I had never heard of it, and after I read why, I just had to see this; I love spoofs. Even though some parts of this film didn't make sense, it was hilarious. It wasn't as funny as Airplane or Naked Gun, but it should certainly go up among them as a recognized movie. Especially funny are the co-driver, parking lot guy, and so many others. I gave this movie 4 stars, but it's more of a 3 and a half.Better when I was 9 - MH--
I saw this originally when it came out in 1976. I remembered some funny scenes and have wanted to see it again to see if it was as funny as I remembered. It is a disaster movie parody - has some goofy bits. Not quite as good as a Maxwell Smart (if I remember correctly - they're not out yet) but in the same vein and certainly not up to Airplane or Top Secret level. Certainly goofy, certainly dated, not great.
