God is Great, I'm Not
Michele (Audrey Tautou), a 20-year-old French model, has just broken up with her boyfriend and aborted their baby. Full of existential angst, she's looking for something to believe in. That's when she meets François, a veterinarian who is a non-practicing Jew and several years her senior. She falls in love and is inspired to try to convert to Judaism -- much to François's chagrin.

Story of many young women - anemonie
Audrey Tautou plays the role of alot of young women in this film, of getting so caught up in a relationship that she almost doesn't know who she is anymore. I found it interesting that the film showed aspects of a relationship that were very different from the typical hollywood chick flick, that is the female lead goes usually from a really bad relationship to the night on the noble steed, the one who never criticizes her, never says a wrong word, always holds the umbrella out when it rains...you get the picture. This film shows relationships as they can actually get, especially with young women who don't yet know who they are and how to stand up for themselves.Review - God is Great - maw-
Not one of Audrey Tautou finest films. It's a rather silly romantic comedy with Tautou playing the role of a girl who becomes completely obsessed with her new boyfriend. We've seen her in this role before, and those other movies were better. Check out "He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not", which is a much darker and, for me, more interesting film.Pointless and annoying - honeybee
This movie felt 5 hours long. The plot was almost nonexistant, the dialogue nonsensical, the characters incomprehensible. I wasn't expecting much, just to be mildly entertained as I've seen Audrey Tautou in other lite romantic comedies and enjoyed her. But this was torture, I would have turned it half way through but was watching it with someone who thinks you have to finish any movie you start. I was in hell.
