The Chateau
When two American brothers (Paul Rudd and Romany Malco) learn they've inherited a chateau in France, they can't believe their luck. But when they arrive, the brothers find themselves completely ill-equipped to communicate with the chateau's staff. What's more, they discover the chateau has an enormous debt, so they're forced to sell it, leaving a bewildered staff resorting to desperate and hilarious measures to keep their home.

Yikes. This movie is a fixer-upper ... - Sunscream
Oh my gawd. This film looks like it was filmed on someone's home camera. The film had scraps and lines throughout it - for a film from 2000. That is deplorable.
That being said, the film is okay. Paul Rudd is humorous with this inability to speak French, when he doesn't actually grasp the language. Yes, an old routine, but still funny. Unfortunately, the movie does not get much better than that - other than to show how foolish Americans are once they leave their borders.
