A River Made To Drown In
When successful lawyer Thaddeus (Richard Chamberlain) learns that he's dying, the news prompts him to visit his struggling artist friend Allen (Michael Imperioli). Learning that his old buddy is ailing, Allen -- a former male prostitute -- grants Thaddeus a last request: He'll try to track down Jaime (James Duval), a young hustler Thaddeus once tried to rescue from the mean streets. But will this quest send Allen back to a life he left behind?

The impressive cast should have carried this film to compelling heights, but the end result is quite disappointing: Richard Chamberlain is just annoying with his faux English accent and inflated vocabulary; the rest of the cast is surprisingly flat; the storyline is contrived and the chance meetings too convenient. Overall, it’s watchable, but you’ll walk away shrugging your shoulders.Avoid this one... - DrMovie
A River Made To Drown In is an ok movie to see if you're really bored but I would not watch it again or mention it to a friend as a must–see movie. Even Richard Chamberlain's leading role could not save this one. I suggest you skip this title when you're looking for something decent to watch.a river made to drown in - Unforgettable
this is one of those movies that make you feel more like watching a play. although the dialogues are so well scripted and, the curiously lingering appearance of thaddeus(richard chamberlain)does heighten the suspense of a secret, a story about to unfold, the movie fails to draw the audience into its settings. at the end, It leave a bitter taste in the audience unknowingly. Empathy for the no way out characters? or sadness for a dark story? anyhow, the ending doesnot make sense if story suggested thaddeus' action or his last wish was to bring the two lost souls together.
