Man's Best Friend
A television reporter (Ally Sheedy) and her crew accidentally awaken a sedated canine while checking out reports of abusive experiments at a local lab. When the drugs wear off, the dog can either truly be "man's best friend" or explode in fury … and no one can predict how it will react. Co-stars Lance Henriksen.

If you liked 'Cujo' you'll love 'Man's Best Friend.' Enjoyable and pretty well done for an oldie, no crappy cgi, just a trained dog and a few shots of puppeteering. There was enough cute dog moments to make up for lack of cute human actors/actresses.You know you want to rent this... - mopsy
This movie is very predictable. Just don't be expecting much. Yes, it is scientifically inacurate, but it has a dog climbing a tree and swallowing a cat whole. If you rent it, that will be the sole reason; where else will you be able to see that? But seriously, this movie is a gem. A worthwhile hour and a half that you will never get back again.
