Final Cut
In this unconventional British drama, a deceased man's (Jude Law) friends gather for a wake at his widow's apartment and take the opportunity to watch a video documentary he'd been working on at the time of his death. The guests are shocked to find that the video consists of hidden camera footage showing nearly every one of them at their worst and revealing a host of secrets and lies -- which forces them to take a long, hard look at themselves.

I'm always suspicious of films that get re-released after their major stars hit it big (in this case Jude Law). Sometimes you end up with a great independant film, but more often than not, as with Final Cut, you end up with a terrible film re-released to cash in on it's now-famous' star.
What seems like a unique story- at a wake for Jude (Jude Law), his widow Sadie (Sadie Frost) plays a "documentary" film Jude had created of their friends using hidden cameras to record intimate moments and private conversations. Friendships are turned on end, spouses and friends are caught in lies, and unbelievable situations are created by Jude who becomes and instigator of events both violent, offensive, and cruel.
If you have read the synopsis provided by Zip- IT GIVES THE ENTIRE FILM AWAY- plot twists and mysteries included. Had I read the synopsis before I saw the film, I would have saved myself the rental and the 80 minutes I wasted watching this dreadful film.
None of the characters are at all likeable nor is the filmmaking anything special. If you are a huge fan of Jude Law, then you might get some enjoyment out of it, otherwise stay as far away as you can from this one.
