The Corporation
Since the late 18th century American legal decision that the business corporation organizational model is legally a person, it has become a dominant economic, political and social force around the globe. This film takes an in-depth psychological examination of the organization model through various case studies. What the study illustrates is that in the its behaviour, this type of "person" typically acts like a dangerously destructive psychopath without conscience. Furthermore, we see the profound threat this psychopath has for our world and our future, but also how the people with courage, intelligence and determination can do to stop it.

This movie a wonderful collection of social expose, words, comments, images, that we need now to assist our survival. We never think of the concept of the Corporation as a many legged, purposeful spider at the centre of the web of the world, ultra powerful, and unified in all its variations by one and just one belief and value:profit. Nothing else matters. Nothing else motivates. Not even life itself.
Put this film together with Capitalism, Michael Moore, and you have packaged a clear and concise short course on what we are up against. But knowing what that is far from depressing. It is liberating and necessary because before we know what is going on we are helpless to change it. The corporation is the single most important film to watch at this moment in history.Amazing - Big_J
This an amazing movie that should be watched by everybody. Unless you sit around watching nothing but Fox news, then none of this will exactly be a surprise, but the information is presented in a very watchable & interesting fashion. You never get the impression you are watching some conspiracy film (like the millions that flood the internet)as there is a pretty wide range in viewpoints and types of people being interviewed. This is pretty left-leaning stuff of course so this would not be the movie of choice for the Donald Rumsfelds of this world but if your a big fan of, you know, fact... then you are sure to enjoy this. The Corporation is chilling and effective - CanCinephile
The film is good, alarmingly so, and brings the subject matter to light in its two and a half hours without missing a step or encountering a slow period. Like many documentaries of this era, The Corporation relies on using multiple interviews coupled with lots of shots of things happening in the world to support the interviews. The interviews are arranged flawlessly, fully supporting the action on the screen and building a very tight package of information for the viewer.
The information is presented clearly and concisely, keeping a very central focus and maintaining it without venturing into several tangents. The Corporation offers us a very distinct narrative, too, from start to finish and encloses the information and the vision of the film perfectly. The film does not get overly judgmental, either, but it does have a very sardonic edge that many will appreciate and many others will not. Nevertheless, the information is there in living colour and is presented by very reliable sources that offer their comments in a very engaging manner.
