When a shocking massacre in a small-town diner leaves nine people dead, Halifax teams up with Senior Detective Eric Ringer (Jackman) and struggles not to let the attraction between them get in the way of hunting down the killer.

Profile of a Serial Killer is the story of a forensic psychologist, along with the local police departmen, trying to piece together the mystery surrounding a mass murder at a gas station, working alongside one of the survivors.
For a low-budget production, the movie was quite enjoyable. Hugh did a wonderful job in one of his first movie roles and the suspense throughout kept going.Community Troubles - Pantagruel
Centering the action on a community formed of cashiers, waitresses, garage mechanics, and passing travelers, this film is really about the result of a mass murder (a single event and its aftermath) rather than a serial killer. However, we can forgive the filmmakers for slapping the words 'serial killer' into the title in order to improve sales, particularly since the film is genuinely worth watching. The knowledge of who did the shooting is withheld for as long possible and to excellent effect, probing the problem of memory in moments of chaos, and the ability of truth to cohere and actually help us along with many of life's simple and devastating problems alike. Plus you get to see one of the most overdone love scenes in the history of cinema - or who knows: maybe that's the color of passion in Australia ... ?
