A young married couple after nine years of marriage are frustrated, many times angry and just trying to get by, both working in jobs they do not like. Filippo brings home an old but well dressed man. From there on it is a mystery who this man is. He seems to go in and out of reality. Meanwhile the married lady looks through her window all the time spying on a very good looking bachelor, not knowing he is viewing her too. They meet eventually,but as she is married it is not meant to be. There are two kids involved and she is a traditional women. This movie will keep you interested until the very end.A passionate Italian tale - Freespace
A young married couple after nine years of marriage are frustrated, many times angry and just trying to get by, both working in jobs they do not like. Filippo brings home an old but well dressed man off the street who is lost, disoriented and does not remember who he is. His wife Giovanna is fiery and hot tempered and is irritated and wants him out.
The story moves forward lovingly from this point as the old man regains his memory and shows Giovanna the importance of growing and nurturing the passion in her life, both for her husband and for baking beautiful pastries, which she only does now as a hobby.
Within this delightful story, there is the window opposite Giovanna's home, where an attractive man lives that Giovanna secretly watches at night and longed for. As well as the story of the old man.
The story is exquisitely told with all actors putting in the passionate performances that the beautiful script calls for. A must see !Attention.....European style....Nothing to do with Hollywood - action
Very European style movie, with freeze frame shoots, staring eyes, background thoughts and symbols. The fan stopped to symbolize ending of the main character job, is one of the examples.
Cinematography nicely done, my favorite color – sun set, the pastry part is so deliciously shown; I wish to have this talent to bake such a beautiful cake.
Relaxing movie, even it has drama plot, I have found this as a positive energizer to follow my dream …. “Demand life in better world”.
