The Last Flight of Noah's Ark
When a B-29 bomber strays off course, its crew - high-living pilot Noah Dugan (Elliott Gould), a prim missionary (Genevieve Bujold), her cargo of farm animals, and two stowaway orphans - must make an emergency landing on an unmapped island in the south pacific. In order to survive, the foursome , along with two unexpected allies, convert the downed plane into the oddest sea-going vessel ever and then set sail - animals and all - on a perilous search for civilizations in this Disney adventure for the whole family!

It's a Plane...No, it's a Boat...No, it's Both! - MovieProf
An old B-29 bomber goes off course somewhere in the Pacific, and crash lands on a seemingly deserted island. The plane is full of animals. Somehow, the animals, as well as the human occupants, need to get off the island. Sound impossible? Leave it to Disney to provide an entertaining solution to the problem.
Starring Eliot Gould, Genevieve Bujold, and a very young Ricky Schroder, the film feels a bit dated at times: the music score is very retro, and some special effects (the plane crash) aren’t very well executed. Still, I remember this film with fondness from the night I saw it in the drive-in as a kid with my family, and that fondness has remained. This is an entertaining film from start to finish. Just allow your brain to suspend reality: I didn’t know it was that easy to turn a bomber into a boat in such a short time!Nice Adventure Film - newdaysof
I watched this film with low expectations but was pleasantly surprised. It has an interesting story and characters, beautiful scenery and some pretty decent action. The adventure takes unexpected twists and turns and there is seldom a dull moment.
The child actors are very good. There are a few touching scenes and the children play them remarkably well. My only complaint is that Elliot Gould's character is unreasonably cranky for no apparant reason other than to provide some tension in the film. Also the romantic interlude happens too quickly and is not believable. And being a Disney film, there are a few situations where the truth and credibility is stretched for dramatic purpose, but all is forgiven because it is such a good film overall. One other minor complaint: the soundtrack and most of the songs are really cheesy and 70's.GOOD FAMILY FILM! - Whirlwind
Elliott Gould & Genevieve Bujold were good in this film. An older film, yet a good story and enjoyable for all in the family. Ricky Schroder was young in this one with lots of attitude but shows promise as an actor. Elliott Gould's characters plays someone who's been moving and running most of his life. Genevieve's character plays someone stable, idealistic with lots of ideas. This is the romantic interest part of the story but it works and the ending is good. Really enjoyed it!
