A touching and poignant portrayal of the young Che Guevara. I didn't know anything about this story so it was an interesting to know that he was a med student and that his friend was a biochemist. It shows the influences on Che's life without being preachy. And its a great travelogue, with great scenery of South America nd its people.A Rewarding Experience That Does This Icon Justice - crosswizeshotz
Guevara’s romantic spirit and the beautiful landscapes of South America seem to reach out through the screen and through time to pull you in. Che’s road trip lead to a profound epiphany that would spur him on to future revolutionary endeavours. Using Che’s own poetic letters and journals this film illustrates a soul that felt and expressed emotion without shame or hesitation. His love for humanity makes us all feel closer to one another.Best of the Festival - SooGuy
An outstanding film that resonates on so many levels. The material taken from a number of sources including Che Guevera's memoir "Motorcycle Diaries" as well as his companion Alberto Granado's published memoirs. The rich script makes for a very moving and entertaining "buddy" picture as two young idealists travel around the South America on a motorcycle before graduating and moving on with life. A must see for those that are familar with the name Che Guevera, but known little or nothing of the man. It gives an interesting insight into who he was before he became the revolutionary.
