Wicker Park
Intricately moving back and forth in time and revealing the story from each character's perspective, Wicker Park is an intense psychological drama about a man (Hartnett) caught in an obsessive search for a woman he fell deeply in love with - a woman who then vanished without a trace. Two years after her disappearance, he catches a fleeting glimpse of her in a local bar and begins a twisting search to find her and discover what really happened.

A modern-day fatal attraction of some sort. The plot is quite interesting, all because of the mystery of what’s going on. The use of flashbacks was almost done to the point that if you miss one part of it, when the story line comes to a point where all comes together, you’ll be missing the point. You’ll only appreciate the story once everyone’s paths crossed; you just have to be patient and be a witness to all the stuff that’s happening that seems to be ridiculous. But once all comes together, you'll be able to piece the puzzle together.Intense Psychological Thriller? - lauralyzer
If you are looking for an intricately composed drama to keep you on the edge of your seat ... keep looking, this isn't it. It takes fully one hour for the plot of this movie to start showing itself, and the story-telling technique of shifting timelines doesn't add anything. In fact, it feels like the director chose that approach simply because it's currently all the rage, not because it would add anything to the film.
That being said, once the second hour of the film starts it improves quickly. The storyline is intriguing, if a little convoluted, and despite the heavy-handed writing and the over-the-top acting (Rose Byrne, I'm looking at you) the viewer is compelled to keep watching to find out how it ends. Just don't expect the movie to be anything like the trailer, and you just might like it.I loved it! - lovely_lynda
I enjoyed this movie very much. I guess I am a sucker for lost love, found love. This movie can get confusing at times I admit. I juggles back and forth in time depending on the character flashback. I found the actors entertaining with the exception of Josh Hartnett. He just seems to cold and unmoving. Mathiew Lillard is funny as usual. Rose Byrne who plays Lisa's so called friend Alex was excellent. This movie is not academy award material but it is what it is - entertainment!
