Short Circuit
No. 5 is alive! Steve Guttenberg and Ally Sheedy co-star in this high-tech comedy-adventure about a robot named No. 5 who, after short-circuiting during an electrical storm, escapes into the real world … and decides he's human! The Defense Department and his designer (Guttenberg) are desperate to get him back -- but they'll have to get past his new guardian (Sheedy).

I remember watching this when I was 8 years old. It was all that and then some. When you are a kid, anything amazes you though, I guess.
However, I recently had the chance to watch this flick again. I must say, that it still has it's redeeming value to it.

An 80's classic, I hadn't watched this since i was 5, i loved it then and i i loved it now. Funny for the whole family, i laughed at most of the same jokes and was shocked about a few of the more adult jokes hidden in the movie that i obviously didn't get back then. after we turned the movie off, the Honda ad came on with their new Asimo robot. back then this seemed so far fetched but johny five is alive.Share, laugh and bound with your kids - LadyDesiree
I wathched this movie with my kids and really laughed and shared this fun experience with them. It is a movie good for all ages - even the four year old enjoyed it a lot and wanted to see it again and again. It is original and sweet - something you can just sit and relax your mind with or not worry that the kids will like it. It is Pure and innocent with lots of action.
