Getting Wasted
An uptight military school gets a dose of hippie-infused rebellion when a group of students gather in support of the 1960s uprising going on around them. When a few students decide to bring the more liberal, artsy side of the revolution onto campus, they face opposition from much of the school's staff. Co-stars Brian Kerwin and David Caruso.

Misleading Packaging, Surprisingly Interesting Movie - zerocattle
This is not a David Caruso vehicle, he has a bit part later in the film and only the flaming red hair and cute-nosed profile identified him. However, the movie was surprisingly interesting as an exploration of the tension and dynamics of the times. The patriarchy was shown to be outdated and cruel, while the Free Love faction was shown to be superstitious and flakey, while still better aware of reality, an interesting juxtaposition.
The movie is heavily censored (even the word "piss" is deleted) and very poor quality. But the performances are frighteningly calm and real feeling and on the whole this movie is far better than anticipated, and nothing to do with, ultimately, getting wasted, but rather everything to do with having the freedom to choose an outlook that doesn't involve controlling others through fear.
There is a funny moment featuring an urban myth about microwave ovens and pet ownership, and some tragic displays of the toll of abuse within military schools.
