Rick
Rick is the sort of guy you probably once really liked: a devoted husband and a loving father, he lives in a lavish Park Avenue apartment paid for by a high powered corporate job. He has a sharp sense of humor and enjoys a cold, well-prepared martini but the world's gone wrong for Rick. His wife is dead. His teenage daughter Eve is distant as she approaches womanhood. His job gets more and more degrading with each passing day. His young boss Duke is an aggressive punk who forces Rick literally to his knees and spends his time talking dirty in Internet chat rooms, while Rick has to do the dirty work. And it seems you can't even have a martini in this town without getting a curse from an enemy or sinister proposal from an old friend. No wonder his sense of humor is getting a little nasty.

I would not recommend this movie to anyone. It was rude, racist, and a waste of time. This movie was laced with unnecessary and derogatory foul language. The morals behind the movie are severely lacking. Save yourself the time & effort of renting this poorly written film.Rick - hoolie
Rick is fascinating, cruel little film. The film got mostly good reviews, but for whatever reason failed to connect with audiences. This is probably because everyone in the movie is a jerk. The movies contains what could be Bill Pullman's best performance as Rick, a business man with a dead wife and a teenage daughter he doesn't really understand (Agnes Bruckner). He works for a company called images, and has to deal with a boss half his age (Aaron Stanford). Rick tries his best to get along with Stanford, as the two laugh, joke around and swear constantly. An early scene has Rick crawling around on Stanford's floor, and only after its over to we realize how humilated Rick is by this. Things go from bad to worse with Rick when an old college friend Buck (Dylan Baker) re-enters his life. He runs his own company that specializes in killing people so that you can advance in your career. Based on the opera Rigoletto, Rick isn't for everyone. If its possible, this is meaner, nastier version of something David Mamet would write. But for those who can stomach it, Rick offers some great rewards.
