IMAX - Great North
This award-winning film was originally presented in theaters in the IMAX format. The rich culture of the Inuit natives of the Arctic North is depicted through the eyes of the grandson of Nanook. He leads the viewer on a journey through the beautiful landscapes as well as the traditions of the Inuit lifestyle.

Great scenery - vjvl
This movie showed how the Inuit traditionally interfaced with the caribou. Then it switched to Greenland and how they interact with the reindeer allowing you to compare both lifestyles. Both cultures are based on the story tellers/singers to keep the history of the culture. Then back to the Inuit for some traditional igloo building and hunting.
We didn’t notice the poor picture quality mentioned by the other reviewer but then we weren’t looking for it. We thoroughly enjoyed the great scenery and traditional singing.Good but not great - Chris-Edmonton
An older film with poorer resolution. The vistas were very well done with the characteristic fly-by elements of Caribou, icebergs and general landscapes. The first part is tied together by the common theme of remembering the old ways as narrated by Nonook of the North’s great grandson. Then it switches gears and goes to Greenland to study the life of the reindeer herders. It does not really tie the two cultures together, but again is rich in panning shots of the landscape and wildlife.
Overall a good family experience, but suffers from average to poor picture quality.
