The Tesseract
Based On The Book By Alex Garland, Author Of The Beach And 28 Days Later
Through a mindbending story that unfolds backwards, sideways and at every angle in between, a drug mule, a grieving psychologist, a rising mafia boss, and a wounded female assassin's fates are revealed through riveting flashbacks in which their disconnected paths become fatally entwined in a Bangkok hotel.

I am not sure I have ever made it through a worse movie. This waste of celuloid was a dog from start to finish.
For a short time I thought I was missing something with the flash backs and other devices but I wasn't. It was just a DOG pure and simple.
Don't waste your money. The acting was awful and I doubt anyone actually would claim credit for writing this crap.Don't Bother With This One - Kristy4819
Nce again I have rented a dud. The summary does not do this film justice in that it makes it sound way more interesting and action-packed than the movie is. The majority of the actors do an okay job, but the film still doesn't cut it. I think they tried to do too much with this film and messed it up royaly. Rent it yourself to see what I mean, or just trust me and save yourself the time...watch something good. Was there ever a coherent script for this? - Poustman
While several of the actors do fairly well with what they had to work with, there really is no story here. The superimposed explanation at the beginning seems to have no bearing on the rest of the film, although there is a half-hearted attempt at a bit of Matrix-like surreality at the beginning. While there is at least one sympathetic character, she (the English gal) is hardly the protagonist, and while there are bad guys, none rises to the level of antagonist, or even villain. While there are some interesting visual moments, the cinematographer seemed also to descend into charicature at times, pulling stunts that rather than being effective effects simply ruin your suspension of disbelief and remind you that this is a construct. The title gives an impression the movie is something it isn't: a better title would have been something like 'Three Days In Bangkok' or something like that.
It wasn't painful to watch, but it was disappointing. 1 star.
