the main actors were fascinating to watch. they really knew their craft and the lighting took on a theatrical feel which drew me in.the music had a late 60's feel and i enjoyed seeing the fashion of that time.the plot was juicy and over the top, but i love over the top plots.there was some clever black humor mixed in for good measure. i think a remake with glen closse would be so amazing!HOW DOES HER GARDEN GROW? - Craigo
One of the lesser known horror films of the late 60's that paired up aging actresses and let them go crazy on each other. Too bad the DVD didn't keep the original (albeit deceptive) cover art showing a woman's bloodied face being buried in a garden. There's really no blood or hardcore gore, but it's a nice little horror film to spend an evening with, and worth the rental alone just to witness the incredible acting showcasing from Page as the batty lady who needs to keep killing her housekeepers to make money, and Gordon who's trying her damnest not to be next.
