Bleeders
The family that breeds together bleeds together.
Bleeders is the name for a bizarre family banished from their homeland for incest and hedonism over 300 years ago. Now their descendants stalk the catacombs beneath the rocky shores emerging only to satisfy their thirst for human blood and human flesh. One man shares their mutated birthright, another man holds their death warrant. Both of them converge to face these revolting goblin-like monsters in a clash of blood where only one species can survive.

Literate horror fans will recognize this as a moderately updated treatment of H.P. Lovecraft's "The Lurking Fear", which is an infinitely better version than the one which used the story's name. I can see where the plot line and effects sequences might put one off, but it's still a good treatment of the original material.
Plus, Rutger Hauer playing a drunkard. That's good fun!UGH!! - yrgoddess
I never expect anything anymore from so-called horror/monster flicks. Thank heavens, because this movie SUCKED! Not that the performances were terrible (the actors did what they could with the material that was provided for them), but whey story itself was horrid.
Rarely have I been so pained in the viewing of a picture (other than The Blair Witch Project, I mean). Bored maybe, but not physically hurting. I kept watching the clock, hoping that more time than I thought had passed. I guess I am not that lucky. My advice....run as far as you can from this flick. What a colossal waste of time!Twisted....in an entertaining way. - d---
Bleeders is about a man (Roy Dupuis) with a mystery illness who travels in search of clues to the island his family descended from. Once there he unlocks his family's hideous secret (which would give away too much of the story).
Kristin Lehman is great as the wife, desperate to save her husband and understanding of his, um, condition. Roy Dupuis was believably sick looking throughout.
I found the story interesting and have watched it on more than one occasion. As a horror movie, it won't satisfy those into the blood n' guts type stuff, though there is some pretty gory stuff implied instead of seen. I rented this expecting something a little campy and wasn't let down.
Video quality was good, although not widescreen. Sound was average.
