Firestarter / Firestarter 2: Rekindled (Double Feature)
Firestarter
Drew Barrymore heads up the cast in this suspense-filled film based on the best-selling Stephen King novel. After college sweethearts Andrew and Vicky McGee participate in a mysterious psychic experiment, they have a child, Charlie (Barrymore) who is born with the ability to start fires with her mind. Her unique pyrokinetic talent soon comes to the attention of a covert government agency known as "The Shop." Now operatives fro this sinister group (Martin Sheen and George C. Scott) are out to capture nine-year-old Charlie and control her supernatural powers at all costs.
Firestarter 2: Rekindled
In this thrill packed sequel, Charlie McGee (Marguerite Moreau) is now all grown up, but still on the run. After perfecting the psychic experiment that gave Charlie her powers, the maniacal John Rainbird (Malcolm McDowell) has developed a team of six boys with similar supernatural abilities. Hoping to use Charlie as the ultimate weapon of war, Rainbird dispatches his young agents to capture the teenage girl. Now only a former experiment subject (Dennis Hopper) and a private investigator can help protect her and stop Rainbird in his diabolical attempt to take over the world.

4 Stars for Firestarter - Rekindled should be burned. - Rachy007
Firestarter is true to the book and effectively brought each character to life. I enjoyed the Stephen King novel, I equally enjoyed the movie.
Firestarter 2: Rekindled was GARBAGE. A waste of time. Wasn't true at all to the original screenplay or novel and was a complete mass of waste. It had potential but instead failed miserably. First clue - Charlie is a brunnette? The flashbacks aren't even from the first film. They completely reinvented the first story. It was TERRIBLE. It actually made me angry.Firestarter: Brilliant; Firestarter 2: Boring - Fudgeflaps
My five stars goes to the original Firestarter. To the sequel I would give two stars.
Firestarter is really just a brilliant movie. I can remember watching it many times when it first came out on VHS. Surprisingly however I didn't remember a lot of it, except very vaguely.
The sequel is a different story. I felt it was more trying to rely on gimmicks rather than the story, and I didn't enjoy it.Typicle King - Chucky
This over acted film features a genetically engineered family all with different abilities. They couple starts out looking for a few bucks to cover the delivery of their new baby by taking part in a C.I.A double blind experiment. Both parents got the actual treatment. The best part of this film id that you can still see Drew Barrymore when she was an innocent and beautiful child. Not the best King work but wort at least a peek
