decent - srini88
I remember watching this movie in a theater with all the controversy that raged about it. It is a well known story of a bandit queen and Shekhar Kapur did a decent job of portraying the raw violence and brutality that was new to main stream commercial cinema.Fascinating, but visuals are butchered - Old_Prop
So far is this movie removed from the standard cops and bandits films that we are accustomed to that it seems almost a new genre. Seems very foreign to one raised on North American works, and is worthwhile viewing. Visually a treat, but, unfortunately, the visuals on the DVD are largely spoiled because the movie-theatre aspect ratio has been butchered to fit onto the TV screen. Pity.
