Lewis Black: Unleashed
Comedy Central presents...
America's so-called "foremost commentator on everything," Lewis Black, lets loose his furious brand of comedy on everything from politics to pop culture in this collection of some of his best stand-up moments. This disc also includes never-before-screened segments of Lewis dropping in on both the Republican and Democratic National Conventions for Comedy Central, as well as bits from his first-ever special for the network and his "Tax Day" show.

I love Lewis Black's angry man character. The man is witty and funny. I don't always agree with him, especially on Clinton, but I think he does a good job sharing his views in a funny way. Really worth a watch, There are some interesting bonus features here, along with the Comedy Central shows.Fun for fans of Comedy Central - Ralston_McTodd
Black's "angry man" persona is fun to watch and his comedy is witty. It's also political and "liberal," so you'll enjoy it more if you are too. By now, some of the material is dated and has appeared elsewhere, but much of the enjoyment is watching Black's face as he skewers the absurdity of life. He's an acquired taste, but worth the effort.'Black on Broadway' is better - MovieBug
There are some very funny moments in this 'Unleashed' material, which consists of three segments from Comedy Network, plus some DaleyShow excerpts (Indecision 2000) and Blacks feature about taxation.
The taxation item is good, with cameos from Larry King, Bob Dole, John McCain and others. The Comedy Network material is good in spots. But mostly this material seems dated now. A lot of it was recorded seven years ago, and Black has developed his style and timing significantly since then.
Black at his best, in my view, is better characterized by Black on Broadway. More sophisticated, better timed and delivered. Unleashed is ok, but not great.
